This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
